ELSA Conversion Service

FLASH UPDATE:  Our deadline to take adavantage of this service has been extended by FAA Exemption!!

Dear Powered Parachute Enthusiast,

Sport Pilot IS here!!  For whatever reason, most of us have put off the inevitable and the deadlines for registering your aircraft have been extended.  There are three basic choices for current owners of powered parachute aircraft:

1)      Sell your aircraft and get out of the sport
Many Ultralight pilots are currently trying to sell their aircraft on eBay causing values to plummet!!  One-seat models are selling for $4,000 - $4,500.  Two-seat models are selling for $6,000-$8,000.  Many listings include EVERYTHING!!  For those prices, owners are selling their aircraft along with the trailer, helmets, headsets, intercoms, GPS’s, ICOM radios, tools, extra spare parts and oil as well as anything else you can imagine.

2)      Ignore the Sport Pilot Regulations
Some powered parachute pilots that I’ve talked with will be ignoring the Sport Pilot Regulations.  This is a very bad idea.  I have been instructed at all of the industry seminars that I have attended over the past year, that the FAA will be paying close attention to our flying community for regulatory compliance.  Translation:  The FAA will be traveling the countryside looking for non-compliance and will violate to the fullest extent of the law.  In other words, you will not be able to hide by only flying in remote areas.  The FAA has made this very clear.

 3)      Convert to Sport Pilot
This is the best option.  You love the sport!   Why give that up and waste the valuable time, money and effort you spent to feel the wind in your face and to dance above the treetops?!

You say that you don’t want to mess with the regulatory mumbo-jumbo and deal with the red-tape?  SUPER!!  UltraFlight Aviation can make the transition as painless as possible.  We have worked hard to build Kentuckiana’s ONLY, FULL –SERVICE, Sport Pilot Dealership with the only Sport Pilot CFI and Rotax Technician in the region.  We can meet all of your Sport Pilot needs with sales, sport pilot training and ROTAX maintenance.

But to meet the conversion deadline, you must act FAST!!  UltraFlight Aviation is offering to help you convert your powered parachute ultralight into a fully-certified and registered E-LSA aircraft!!  Our conversion service starts at $850
